Here’s a little video I made tonight from the Olympia Obon last Saturday. It was raining very hard for most of the day, but the rain cleared up just in time for the festivities.
I always love the lanterns.

every year a Waikiki hotel use to hold a bon dance in their parking lot during the summer. Unfortunately, the new owners discontinued what had become somewhat of a tradition. The participants were visitors from all over the world and they all joined in dancing in the circle some less adroit than others. It was a treat moreso for the non-Japanese tourists.
I love the pictures!!! Too bad it rained.
