I’ve heard rave reviews about Adriana’s, located at the Kealakekua Ranch Center. I was excited to see that they offer pupusas, but when I went to order I was told I had to order a day in advance. Doh! I have been craving a queso con loroco pupusa, but alas she’s unable to get loroco here. I’ll have a queso con calabacín the next time I head up that way. I hope I remember to call ahead.

The menu at Adriana’s is full of tacos, burritos, and other Salvadorian dishes. I opted to try the ‘Ohana Taco, which is their vegetarian taco. It comes stuffed with beans, rice, cheese and salsa. It’s a filling little burrito, and will keep you fueled for most of the day. Best of all the ‘Ohana Taco is only $2.00.
