If there was ever a film festival design specifically for me then the Waimea Ocean Film Festival is it. The festival begins Jan. 6 in Waimea, and will continue until the Jan. 9th. The following week the festival will move to the Four Seasons Hualalai, and continue from Jan. 13-16th.
The film festival features films related to various aspects of the ocean. The films deal with the ocean environment, surfing, the impact of the ocean on cultures, and capturing the beauty & power of the ocean. Forums are held to discuss the films, and related topics. It’s sure to be a beautiful film festival.
A highlight for me will be the Clark Little film , The Shorebreak Art of Clark Little, which will be shown on Friday at the Kahilu Theatre at 6:30pm.
